Crystal structure of fullerene C60 and C70 with the help of Raman Spectra were studied by many scientists earlier. Particularly Raman Spectroscopy is well suited to detect small changes in structural morphology of carbon nano materials making it an indispensable tool for many materials with carbon nanostructures. Structure of fullerene C60 and C70 lead to interesting application possibilities. Derivatives of C60 and C70, such as buckyball clusters, nanotubes, megatubes, polymers, nano onions and fullerene rings have many interesting applications which made fullerenes as an active field of research.
